Over the weekend, I attended a birthday celebration for my friend Carissa (talented owner of JL Designs). She is a florist and the party exuded her beautiful minimalist modern style. I wanted to put together a fun way to present her with a little gift. Check out my first-ever DIY Flowery Gift Wrap How-To Video.
I used materials that I already had for this project. I’ve been quite into reuse lately but I also thought these pieces would be a good fit for Carissa’s sometimes-bohemian style. I like working with materials that have lots of texture and interest no matter how they are incorporated. Here’s where you can find what I used:
• Teal Paper from McManus & Morgan
• Orange & Green Papers from Black Ink by Graphic Products Corporation
• Purple (Rhodolite) Paper from Envelopments
• Newspaper from Orange County Register
• Jute Twine from Dick Blick
• 3M ATG 700 Tape Gun & Double-sided Tape from ULINE
• Floral tape from Walmart
• The Gift: Orange Leather Flower Ring from Roadkill Boutique in downtown Fullerton
